Published by the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, Nassau, to accompany Lavar Munroe’s landmark 2018 survey exhibition, Son of the Soil. Featuring more than 40 works produced between 2008 and 2018, the publication traces a pivotal decade in the artist’s practice, charting the evolution of his distinctive visual language across painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Munroe is currently representing The Bahamas at the 2026 Venice Biennale as one of the artists in The Bahamas Pavilion.
